Its modern, minimalist design ensures not only comfort but also confidence on the piste. Naturally, it comes with full FIE certification and meets the highest standards without compromise. Every seam, material choice, and stitch was refined based on their experience and feedback. We listened – and they pushed it to the limit: testing it, training in it, fighting in it – over and over again. Primera stood the test. It didn’t just perform — it exceeded expectations.

Technology that serves

The 55% HMPE (high-modulus polyethylene) and 45% polyester fabric provides over 900 newtons of puncture resistance while being only 1.4 mm thick.

A complete uniform in average women’s size 38 weighs just 1135 grams (Superlight 1595 grams), while a men’s size 50 only 1360 grams (Superlight 1880 grams).
Zippers are one made of the best brands YKK.

The fabric is engineered to wick moisture from the inside out and features antibacterial treatment for enhanced hygiene. PRIMERAs are treated with SANITIZED®, a renowned antibacterial agent offering proven effectiveness and full regulatory compliance.

Benefits are:

A more hygienic, durable, and comfortable fabric over time

Reduces unpleasant odors caused by perspiration

Enables less frequent washing, contributing to a lower environmental impact

All of these exercises are quite hard, but I enjoy them, because of these, I can see my body develop.

What are your strengths and weaknesses in this type of training?
I don't know about strenghts, to say so. But I think my weakness is that I must feel the particular muscle I do an excersise for and it can be difficult at first to realize how to use that muscle.

What kind of tools do you use if any (e.g. kettle bell, power band…etc.)?
I use power bands, stuffed ball, balance bads..

What do you do to prevent injuries?
I do many different exercises, to strengthen my body, so I would have as less injuries as possible. And stretching is also very important for preventing injuries.
I also use help from a physiotherapist who does massage and gives advice, what to do and how.

Have you ever had a serious injury/operation? If yes, how long did it take to get back in shape?
My most serious injury was when my meniscus broke. I had a surgery where they stiched it back together.
After about 5 months, I won Junior World Championships.. So somehow, it had a good effect on me.. :)

What do you think about the importance of physical condition of fencers nowadays and before? Has it changed a lot? How dominant is it in fencing?
Since fencing is becoming faster and stronger all the time, especially men's fencing but also women's, I think physical condition is very very important.
I think it has changed quite a bit. And I think that if You want a long and as successful carreer as possible,You have to have very good physical condition. Because fencing is so much focusing on one side of the body, it is important to do exercises to the other side too, so the muscles would be evenly trained. Which also prevents injuries a lot, in my opinion.

If yes, what’s on the top of the list? What are the things that you have yet to cross out?

I don’t have one. But I love to travel and, thanks to fencing, I’ve been able to visit some truly amazing places. There are still several countries and cities that are calling my name though. Portugal is one of them.

What’s your favorite movie and why?

Snatch is one of my all-time favorites. No matter how many times I’ve seen it, I find it just as funny and gripping as I did the first time.

Who’s your role model and why?

Olympic champion Tibor Pézsa. I’m very lucky to have him as one of my coaches. I’ve learned a lot from him, and he really helped me find my fencing style. I have tremendous respect for him, and he never stops teaching me new things.

Do you have any superstitions? If yes, what are they?

I used to have loads of superstitions when I was a child, but not anymore. I got fed up one day, gave up all of them and never looked back.

How do you mentally prepare for an important competition?

With the help of a psychologist, as it’s a key part of the preparation process.

What kind of music do you like?

Anything, really. Pop, rock, folk, what have you.

What sport or sports do you like the most?

Technical, advanced, well-thought-out.

What motivates you the most?

The drive to make my childhood dream a reality.

Who has been your most difficult opponent so far and why?

It changes from year to year, but the high-ranking ones are usually the toughest to compete against.

However, military service and the breaks disrupted my schedule lately, so I was happy if I could squeeze in two sessions per week, weekends included. Since July 20, I’ve started getting back to my normal routine with one strength or cardio workout each day.

Do you have a dedicated fitness coach?
Yes, I train with Zsolt Kürtösi, a decathlete who has competed in both summer and winter Olympics. We mostly focus on skills but don’t skimp on strength training, either. In the past two years, he has helped me improve a lot, especially in terms of my physical conditioning.

What do you like the most and the least about strength and conditioning training?
Warm-up running is not exactly my favorite. It’s quite difficult for me to get started, maybe because it takes longer for me to warm up and I have to run more because of that. The best part for me is the intense training, followed by stretching.

What are your strengths and weaknesses in training?
I tire easily and I’m also prone to injuries. So I have to pay special attention to doing the exercises correctly and make sure not to overwork myself. Being mindful of my limits is a key part of my training. As for my strengths, I’m always on the lookout for new fencing techniques to adopt so I can get better and better. Plus, I have a firm grasp of what each type of exercise improves.

What tools do you use, if any (e.g. kettlebell, power band etc.)?
It depends on which level of preparation I’m at, but buoys, TRX, kettlebells, weight bars and resistance bands of different resistance loads are quite common. We pretty much use everything in the gym. Even hurdles sometimes!
What do you do to prevent injuries?
I try my best to do the drills as recommended. I also try to understand the anatomical reasons why I’m doing them wrong and what I need to focus on in general. The coach’s instructions help a lot to get them right even when I’m training on my own.

Have you ever had a serious injury or operation?
I’ve injured my wrist due to straining. I didn’t know my limits back then – or that constant pain is a sign that something’s wrong in my body, which will have a consequence sooner or later. I made a mistake not stretching my forearms and not noticing the problem after training. Since then, I’ve paid close attention to even the slightest pain and tried to address it immediately.

How important do you think is physical fitness for fencers nowadays and before? Has this changed a lot? How dominant is it in fencing?
I think physical fitness is key in modern fencing and you can’t succeed without outstanding physical endurance and speed. That said, competitive seasons are long and we have to stay healthy throughout them. One injury can ruin the entire Olympic cycle. This is why I’m a firm believer in preventive physiotherapy and see a physiotherapist three several times a week. Success depends on so many things, and it’s best to control as many as you can.
